City Rules and Expectations
With every great empire that ever existed, rules were the foundation of good times and expansion (ignoring the fact that all empires have fallen except for Japan). Crude jokes aside, Lakeside has it's own set of rules and expectations that are to be followed. Please read over thiese rules until you fully understand them, as not following them can result in a city ban, or even an EMC ban.
Verbal Communications
In Lakeside, we believe that players have the right to voice their opinions, however they need to be expressed respectfully.
1.) No discrimatory comments or actions. Treat players of different age, gender, race, religion, or anything else that makes them differently with fairness. Despite our differences, each player deserves to be treated with equal respect.
2.) No profanity. Cursing and/or using swear words are not encouraged. Many profound words are blocked by chat, however the ones that aren't, are still not allowed in Lakeside. If you wish to use this language while in Lakeside, please do so privately.
3.) Be kind a respectful. You would think that this is a no-brainer, but if they're addressed here, it means that it has came up as an issue. Rude behavior by no means is acceptable in Lakeside, no matter the reason. If you have an issue with another citizen, please contact city council members. (See Lakeside Officials)
Actions; Dos and Don'ts
Lakeside was designed to give players a break from all the restrictions of Town, however as the city grew, so did the list of things you could and couldn't do. I mean, you can't expect to go anywhere and just do whatever, right?
1.) No griefing. We honestly can't stress this enough. Players who live in Lakeside tend to build big, simply because there is more room in a vanilla world than in Town. However, big builds tend to be harder to make happen, so you can imagine how much work has came out of city development. We practically beg that players don't come in and destroy other players' hard work.
2.) No stealing. Much like griefing, stealing is not allowed in any shape, way or form. Items stored by players are earned, and when you steal them, it makes the time spent getting the items useless.
3.) Do not create public facilities or attractions (parks, storage buildings, etc.) without the granted permission from a council member. We all want to be on the same page when it comes to making Lakeside a better place.
4.) Do not, and we mean do NOT create innapropriate builds. This includes explicit, authority defying, or discrimatory builds of any kind. If a thought such as "people are gonna get so mad/hurt when I build this," then don't build it. If you have a build that your unsure about its level of appropriate-ness, please ask council members about it first.
We know this is a lot of information to take in, but these are things you need to know in order to stay out of trouble, and have fun in Lakeside. If you see someone breaking these rules, please contact us ASAP. You can notify us when we are online, or email Lakeside Council directly here.
